PEST Utilities are those that are supplied when you download PEST. Among other things, they check the integrity of a PEST template file, integrity of a PEST instruction file, an entire PEST input dataset for correctness and consistency, and compatibility between a PEST control file and a Jacobian matrix file. These utilities can add preferred value regularization to a PEST control file based on initial parameter values.
